The top is a Solid Maple Butcher Block and measuring 5 feet wide is great for entertaining. The base features two narrow, full-height pullouts: one at each end of the island that are cleverly concealed by what appear to be fluted columns with decorative capitals. The pullout behind each column has three adjustable shelves which are excellent for storing spices, cleaning materials, breads or tins of tea. The base also has a large two-door cupboard underneath and two wide drawers.
